We have upgraded our client communications package to Petdesk phones and communication.  You will notice more options, and a more professional atmosphere within the phone system and while on hold.  You now have the ability to request an appointment (for non-surgical and non-urgent appointments only) right from the Petdesk app.  You can download the app by searching "petdesk" on Google Play or in the Apple App Store, or clicking HERE.

FDA GFI 256: Restricted Use of Compounded Medications In Clinic

The FDA has released new guidance on compounded medications.  This started with GFI256 which went into effect last year.  Since then, we have been able to order fewer and fewer compounded medications for dispensing from our own pharmacy in-clinic.  We have used compounded medications in cases where a FDA produced drug is not available, or is not in the correct strength or dose form, or as a lower cost alternative. While some compounded medications are still available for us to prescribe out of our own pharmacy, many are not.  The good news is that we do have the ability to prescribe these medications on a patient by patient basis.  The most convenient and cost-effective way of doing this is via our ONLINE PHARMACY. Please notify us at least a week before you run out of medication so that we can set you up for home delivery.  We will be using the stock that we still have on hand to cover as many gaps as we can, but once these medications are out of stock, we will no longer be able to order them.  Once again this applies to COMPOUNDED MEDICATIONS ONLY.  If you have questions regarding the availability of your pet's medications, please call the clinic so we can check for you and set up an order if needed.
